Shevanti is the Marathi name for the chrysanthemum, and this delicate pink handwoven Chanderi is covered in winding vines of beaded flowers, leaves, and tendrils. The vines move gracefully across the saree, worked in vivid zari and beadwork.
The diaphanous Chanderi silk has a soft hand-feel and a rich texture, with the fluidity and weightlessness of a fine silk. The embroidery is delicate and evocative, finished with fine beads, katdanas, and sequins that catch the light as you move.
