A pale onion-skin pink handwoven Chanderi, soft as a blush, traced with vines of gardenias, leaves, and buds. The vines wander across the saree in vivid threadwork, broken here and there by fine cutwork that opens up the weave.
Handwoven and diaphanous, the Chanderi silk has a gentle hand-feel and a rich surface texture, with the lightness and flow of a fine silk. The embroidery is kept delicate, so the pink stays in view and the saree drapes without any heaviness.
The blouse piece is a soft fern green Chanderi with tiny gold wire flowers. Green against onion-skin pink, along with the 1.5" border, gives the saree a fresh contrast that still feels understated.
